Richard Edwards

Richard Edwards joined NFU Mutual in 2021 as the General Insurance Training & Competency Systems Manager. In this role, he supports the implementation of the Accountability & Competency solution across the company’s Agency Network and Direct arm. With over 37 years of experience in the financial services sector, Richard has spent more than 25 years focusing on the design and management of Training & Competency (T&C) and Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) systems and controls. Before joining NFU Mutual, he worked at Redland Business Solutions as an Implementation Consultant, where he utilised his expertise to develop and implement bespoke T&C and SMCR solutions for various clients. Additionally, he had previously procured and implemented the Accountability & Competency solution for his employer in 2011. Richard is a passionate advocate and super-user of the StarCompliance Accountability & Competency solution.
