Jennifer Sun

Chief Executive Officer
Jennifer Sun is the Chief Executive Officer of StarCompliance, responsible for driving the company's direction and growth strategy. Prior to joining Star Jennifer served as Executive Vice President of Commercial Execution at Ipreo, a global provider of workflow solutions and market intelligence to financial services. She was a key contributor to the executive management team at Ipreo, a portfolio company of Blackstone and Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking which was acquired by IHS Markit in August 2018. Over Sun’s 17-year career at Ipreo, she held several leadership roles across their Global Markets Group where she built Ipreo’s equities business from the ground up into the dominant provider in equity new issue workflow systems. Jennifer started her career at Goldman Sachs in Equity Capital Markets where she executed IPOs and follow-on offerings for issuers worldwide. After Goldman, Jennifer went on to help launch Epoch Partners, a technology-enabled investment bank backed by Kleiner Perkins, Benchmark Capital and Charles Schwab. Epoch was successfully sold to Goldman Sachs.Jennifer received her B.A. from University of California at Berkeley and her Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.

Edward Vincent

Chief Operating Officer
Edward Vincent is the Chief Operating Officer of StarCompliance, responsible for ensuring all products, processes and functions are aligned to create value for Star’s blue chip customer base. Prior to joining Star, Edward served as Partner and President of Shore Group Associates, a global provider of data solutions to the financial services industry. During his tenure, Edward led the growth of their professional services business by scaling sales and delivery operations, while enacting a successful go-to-market program. Previously, Edward spent seven years building, implementing, and supporting data, analytics and workflow solutions for the commercial insurance industry. He also served in strategic and operational leadership roles at Thomson Financial where he drove the expansion and transformation of product, services, and support teams. Edward is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from both the Columbia Business School and the London Business School. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, with both a BSE from the Wharton School, and a BAS from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Bill Chatterton

Chief Financial Officer
Bill Chatterton brings over 20 years of experience in finance, strategy and leadership roles. Prior to StarCompliance, Bill held the position of CFO at xG Health Solutions where he played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. He has held executive leadership positions with multiple technology companies including Quadramed, Kastle Systems, HandySoft Global, and MicroStrategy during his career. Bill holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from American University-Kogod School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Elizabethtown College.

Matt McGill

Chief Revenue Officer
Matt leads the global sales, marketing and relationship management organisations. Since 2009, he has built formal infrastructure, processes and methods to maximise team and individual performance. Matt has more than 20 years’ experience in enterprise software, successfully building and leading highly productive sales, marketing, client services and product management teams. Prior to joining StarCompliance, Matt co-founded SphereBuilder, an enterprise SaaS company that was sold to an industry-leading relocation company. Matt holds a BA degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

Sunil Sehdev

Sunil joined StarCompliance in June 2014 as CTO and brings extensive experience of the financial technology sector, including compliance. He has delivered high-quality enterprise business solutions to leading global financial firms and has held senior technology and product positions at blue-chip companies like Thomson Reuters & NICE Actimize, as well as at smaller start-up companies. Sunil is an IEE Certified Chartered Engineer (CEng) specialising in Software Management, Design and Development and holds an MEng degree from Surrey University in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Tim Ward

Tim is an experienced enterprise software professional who has spent the majority of his career in the financial services industry in the area of compliance, and in particular employee conflicts of interest. As a Director of Product Management, Tim helps our current and prospective clients to realise the power of the StarCompliance software and imagine the future. Tim has lived and worked in Australia, Singapore, France, the UK and US and holds a BEng from Nottingham University in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Dale Sanders

Dale joined StarCompliance in January 2006 as an undergraduate software developer; he now focuses on managing the Technical Services, Infrastructure and North American Professional Services teams. After successfully demonstrating his technical expertise as a senior software developer, Dale spearheaded the formation of the Technical Services team in 2011. The Infrastructure team began reporting to Dale in 2014. Well-versed in our clients’ technical and business needs, Dale became the North American Professional Services Manager in 2016. He holds a BSc degree from Newcastle University in Computing Science.

Federico Cigognini

Federico joined StarCompliance in the UK in October 2014 to lead the Professional Services team. He has 20 years of international experience in technology and consulting, and gained his knowledge of regulatory compliance at NICE Actimize, where he delivered multi-million pound anti-money-laundering and fraud-detection solutions to top-tier retail banking institutions. He and his team have secured the successful onboarding of client firms in StarCompliance’s largest growth period to date.

Will Haggerty

Will Haggerty is StarCompliance’s Director of Relationship Management reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer Matt McGill. Will is responsible for leading the relationship management and client services teams. In this role he serves as the chief advocate for our clients, collaborating with them on strategic initiatives and product enhancements as well as ensuring successful day to day operations. Prior to joining StarCompliance, Will was with Wells Fargo for over 10 years where most recently he lead the Code of Ethics team for an Investment Advisor and Fund Company. In this role he was responsible for conflicts of interest monitoring and regulatory reporting as well as system administration and team member training.

Melissa Macatuno

Director, Marketing
Melissa Macatuno is StarCompliance’s Director of Marketing reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer Matt McGill. In this role Melissa is responsible for the marketing, communication and lead generation efforts for the company. In addition to strategic business growth efforts, she directs content marketing, digital marketing, media relations, branding, and advertising. She also manages and oversees sponsorships, events, and client-facing programs. Prior to joining StarCompliance, Melissa was the director of Marketing at RainKing solutions where her efforts generated, on average, 40% of monthly net new business. In this role she was responsible for growing the team from one to four full-time employees while meeting rigorous growth goals that lead to the eventual acquisition of RainKing in July 2017.

Hollie Haynes

Managing Partner at Luminate Capital Partners
Hollie Moore Haynes is the Managing Partner of Luminate Capital Partners and is based in San Francisco, CA. Prior to founding Luminate, Hollie focused on software private equity investing at Silver Lake. Earlier in her career she worked in private equity at Hellman & Friedman and in investment banking at Morgan Stanley & Co. She graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in Economics and received an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Mark Haidet

Mark Haidet

Mark Haidet is an Operating Partner at Luminate Capital Partners and is based in Atlanta, GA. Prior to Luminate, Mark founded and served as CEO of Orderly, a restaurant technology company and co-founded the restaurant group Takorea. He was also a founding partner of Actuate Partners, a technology investment group and advisor to Silver Lake. Earlier in his career he held various positions including CFO at Radiant Systems, which was known as the leading provider of technology solutions to the retail and hospitality industry before being acquired by NCR. Mark began his career as a management consultant and accountant with Arthur Andersen. Mark received his B.S. in Accounting at Miami University.

Marc Epstein

Board Member, StarCompliance
Marc serves on the Board of Directors for StarCompliance. He was founder and CEO of Star from 2002-2018 and responsible for the strategic direction, financial management and operation of the company. During Marc's tenure, the company experienced double-digit growth year after year and became the industry leader in compliance monitoring solutions after Marc led the organization through a re-write of the product to allow for greater scalability and innovation. In 2016, Marc engineered the first PE investment in Star history to Luminate Capital Partners and set the stage for the next era of growth. Prior to joining StarCompliance, Marc was a senior executive with Xpedite in the UK, where he led revenue growth from zero to $30 million in annual sales and led the sale of the company for $85 million. Marc received a BBA in International Business from The George Washington University.
Scott Kingsfield

Scott Kingsfield

Scott Kingsfield is an Operating Partner at Luminate Capital Partners and is based in Atlanta, GA. Prior to Luminate, Scott served as President of the Retail Division at NCR. Before joining NCR he held multiple executive roles at Radiant Systems, which was known as the leading provider of technology solutions to the retail and hospitality industry. Scott began his career as a management consultant with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse. Scott received his B.A. in Finance from Georgia State University.

Dave Ulrich

Dave Ulrich is a Vice President at Luminate Capital Partners and is based in San Francisco. Prior to joining Luminate, Dave was an investment professional at Mainsail Partners. Prior to Mainsail, Dave was a technology investment banker at RBC Capital Markets. Dave received his M.A. in Finance and his B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
