Neil Oakley

Neil is a seasoned Risk professional having held senior compliance roles across the financial services industry. With 20 years of experience at global financial institutions, he has an in-depth knowledge of regulation, risk management, technology, assurance and organisational systems and controls, Neil has delivered global compliance initiatives in complex regulatory environments and has a passion for change. He is currently Global Head of Control Room at Natwest Group.

Neil is also a member of the Audit & Risk Committee for Environmental Standards Scotland – a non-ministerial office of the Scottish Government, a board member and trustee for Home-Start Essex – a charity that aims to improve outcomes for families with children, and Captain of the 2026 British Glider Aerobatics Team training to compete in the World Championships in France later this year.
