James Balbas is Associate Director of Customer Success at StarCompliance, where he leads client service initiatives focused on delivering compliance software solutions tailored to the evolving needs of Star’s clients. James brings over 20 years of experience in employee compliance within the financial services industry. Before joining Star in 2020, he spent more than eight years on the compliance team at Pacific Life and previously served as Retail Compliance Officer at Union Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from California State University, Long Beach.
