Product Marketing Manager

Location: York, Flexble

Hours: Full Time

StarCompliance is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can turn product features and strategy into clear, compelling, inspirational stories and assets for prospects, customers, and employees around the globe. This role is the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing, and to achieve results. As the go-to market owner of our products, you will help grow adoption and drive pipeline by collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product to develop innovative programs that drive demand. You will be able to quickly and comprehensively grasp and then present our product value propositions in ways that resonate—clearly articulating how we solve our buyers’ problems.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact opportunity that will allow you to exercise your strategic vision, business acumen, storytelling skills, and technical expertise. You will also have the opportunity to learn about emerging trends in the Regulatory Technology (RegTech) sector, as well as about the world of compliance and regulation in the financial services industry.


  • Be the bridge between the Product, Sales, and Marketing teams at Star.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target-buyer personas.
  • Organize and execute against GTM efforts and develop launch messaging and positioning for (1) new products and (2) the support of expansion into new regions and industries.
  • Develop marketing plans for the products you support in close collaboration with your marketing team members, including key activities and budgets to support retention and acquisition of customers.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, tracking key KPIs and reporting back to the Director of Marketing on findings and required changes.
  • Act as a thought leader for the products you support externally by delivering high-quality content like blogs, client success stories, presentations, sales assets, and more.
  • Support external facing teams (e.g., sales) by training them on the problems we solve, developing internal tools and external collateral for them, and teaching them how and when to use it all.
  • Conduct market research and become an expert on our buyers—who they are, how they buy, and key buying criteria—then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
  • Understand the competitive landscape, and become an expert on our competitors and how they position themselves.

Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 2+ years of software product marketing experience with at least 2-5+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or solution consulting
  • Track record of marketing to users and buyers
  • Track record of setting strategy and work plans in the face of ambiguity
  • Team-player mentality
  • Creative and effective communicator in both written and oral forms, with strong public speaking skills
  • Analytical mindset: research and data driven, using data to inform decision-making processes
  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively 
  • Financial services industry experience a plus
Desirable Skills
  • Ideally relevant certifications (ISTQB, Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with automation testing tools
  • Experience of implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps/Jira would be greatly beneficial
  • Experience defining, implementing or supporting software in financial services industry preferred
