StarCompliance have an in-house software development team located on the University of York Science Park on the University of York campus.  This is an excellent opportunity to be creative, increase your technical skills and be mentored by some of the smartest developers in the area working for a rapidly expanding dynamic company. We utilise the Microsoft stack of technologies and engineer our software using C# targeting the Microsoft.NET framework.  Our web application follows the MVC (Model View Controller) software architectural pattern on which we deliver a rich browser based user experience powered by JavaScript libraries, for example jQuery.

Responsibilities
  • To participate with a team in the design, development, testing and deployment of a large sized software product under the supervision of experienced Software Developers.
  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents to create a strong technical design.
  • Implement the software design to coding standards in a team environment.
  • Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
  • Create, document, and implement unit tests.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
