Implementing StarCompliance Software
At StarCompliance Software, we have built our solutions with ease of use and efficiency of implementation in mind. The StarCompliance application has been designed and developed to fit seamlessly into a firm’s IT infrastructure. It was developed in-house from the ground up using over seven years of industry knowledge combined with the feedback and experiences of our international customer base.
We chose to develop our software using Microsoft technology because of its universal familiarity among IT departments. Our solution heavily utilizes the latest Microsoft technology. The application is written in C# using the .NET 3.0 framework and has been developed within the Microsoft Visual Studio Team Server environment. All application data is stored within Microsoft SQL Server 2005; we also utilize the associated Reporting and Integration Services within the solution.
The process of implementing StarCompliance software follows a proven, well-organized implementation methodology based on our implementation experience by our international customer base over the last seven years. The Star Implementation Methodology (SIM) has been designed as the roadmap to your implementation. SIM first breaks down the tasks by roles, and then further by project phases: Planning, Configuration, Implementation, and Post-Implementation.
Implementation can be done by your IT department aided by detailed training and documentation materials provided by StarCompliance. Alternatively, StarCompliance’s Implementation Services team can guide you through implementation efficiently and easily. Having worked with many financial organizations, we have amassed a wealth of experience and can evaluate your unique needs quickly. Working together with your IT and business teams, we will help you determine how to get the most from your application.
We offer several implementation options. For those clients who prefer complete control of their IT environment, StarCompliance Software can be installed in-house. For clients who prefer to outsource technology in order to focus on their core business, all of StarCompliance’s functionality can be accessed from a system hosted and maintained by our partner SAVVIS, The hosted solution offers a complete hosting, data center and network solution on secure dedicated infrastructure.
StarCompliance offers the Star Implementation Methodology (SIM) as a tool and structure for managing a StarCompliance implementation through the planning, configuration, and implementation phases. While SIM will help clients achieve a successful and timely implementation, implementations that have extensive data migration and customizations and limited resources may take more than the estimated timeframes. Implementation time ranges from about 30 work days for Express editions, which require minimal customization, no migration of source data or integration with other applications, to 45 days for our Professional edition, to 60 work days or more for large Enterprise implementations that may require extensive data migration and configuration.
