Hosted or Installed Software
StarCompliance offers you the option of installing the software behind your firewall or hosting with StarCompliance in our Tier 3 data center. Either way, you receive your own instance of the software and dedicated database, configured with your specific policies and procedures. Automate Logging of Gifts and Entertainment
Eliminate the need to maintain manual, paper-based records and allow employees to pre-clear and report gifts and entertainment, ensuring that behavior does not violate your conflicts of interest standards.

Automate Attestations
All gifts and entertainment given or received by an employee during a period are automatically attached to a fully configurable form to be confirmed and submitted by the employee. The review and approval workflow by management and compliance for submitted attestations is fully configurable to ensure processing efiiciency and prevent violations of external regulations and internal policies.

Surveillance Capabilities
Run STAR's Rules Engine in scheduled mode to apply surveillance definitions for background monitoring of employee gifts and entertainment activity and identify suspicious activity. Target high-risk employees, employee groups, or external contacts. Cases are automatically raised for suspicious activities that may violate your Code of Ethics and allows compliance to start an investigation.

Manage Exposure to Governmental Regulations
Utilize STAR's powerful Rules Engine to help ensure employees are following documented policies and procedures and thus allow your firm to manage exposure to regulations such as the UK Bribery Act, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and conflict of interest rules as set forth by section 206 of the Securities Act of 1940 and FINRA rule 3220, formerly NASD 3060.

Business Rules
STAR's Rules Engine is driven by rules that can contain complex combinations of guidelines and thresholds to check gifts and entertainment activity, together with multiple application criteria for specific business unit, job title, and location. Rules can be created to limit gifts and entertainment with corporations, unions, and foreign countries and entities.

Aggregate amounts are reported for individuals, business entities, and locations.
